A wedding on the coast with the perfect splash of european accents. My good friend in the industry, Kari @karishootsfilm, reached out to me in the summer about hosting a shoot together that embodied something different and authentic to us as creatives. Immediately I was in and although we were a bit crazy to plan a content day within a few months, every bit of it was so worth it.
We curated something that felt so us which is so important in an industry that is ever changing. When planning we knew we wanted something coastal but elevated, and what better way to do that then an intimate wedding dinner on the rocks front row to the crashing waves. Our vision came together better than we could have ever imagined and it would not have been possible without the vendors we collabed with. Let’s start with the details, a photographers fav of course.
We wanted these details to make a statement without being overwhelming, we drew in subtle pops of blue, unique earthy elements like the seashell cup, oyster shells and her earrings to connect us to the coastal scenery, and threw in lemons limes & a baguette to pull it all together.
We worked with Chancy Cannon for the most stunning stationery, the laguna beach maps fully have my heart. Stationery really makes all the difference in detail photos, so don’t be afraid to go out of the box with colors, fonts and designs.
The tablescape was another element we focused heavily on to feel organic and free so we sourced items that felt just that. Again drawing from the squiggly shapes from the napkins and european bistro table and chairs to bring it together.
We worked with Lindsay from @honeydoflowers and she created the most classic and timeless florals while elevating the bridal bouquet with a blue ribbon and allowing a fun pop of green to compliment the limes. I could go on about the details all day, but time to move onto the stars of the show, Chanelle + Ryan.
These two are as in love and genuine as it gets, let alone how HOT THEY ARE?! We started with a casual beachy pre wedding vibe. Think it’s your wedding morning and you run to the beach for a quick splash before the day begins.
After running around for a bit we moved onto the next course, dinner for two seaside. Celebrations were in order: champagne popping, shoes off, and running wild.
Did you even get married on the beach if it didn’t end with you chasing the waves?! & of course we had to throw in some film photos as well.
OH YEAH, AND A MOMENT FOR THIS HAT ?!! It’s giving parent trap in the best way possible.
Okay let’s end it with a huge thanks to all the talented vendors who helped bring this vision to life:
LET’S DO IT AGAIN?!!
